蝴蝶泉位于大理市郊点苍山云弄峰麓，距离大理古城27公里。在白族人的心中，蝴蝶泉是一个象征爱情忠贞的泉，每年蝴蝶会，来自各方的白族青年男女都要来这里，“丢个石头试水深”，用歌声找到自己的意中人。

    闻名遐迩的蝴蝶泉，面积50多平方米，深约4米，为圆形泉池，四周用大理石砌成护栏。泉水清澈见底，串串水泡，由泉底汩汩冒出，泛起片片水花，生机勃勃；当地还有谚语说：“喝点蝶泉水，够你万年醉。”蝴蝶泉上，古树遮天。高大的古树因其花似蝴蝶，而被人称为“蝴蝶树”。每至夏日，蝴蝶树花开，淡黄色的小花散发阵阵清香，恰似只只蝴蝶翩翩起舞。

交通：从大理古城西门外或博爱路拦乘沿线中巴，票价4元。也可从下关乘坐开往洱海方向的班车；门票：32元/人；特别提醒：蝴蝶泉边不是任何时间都有蝴蝶翻飞的，除了每年4月的几天外，其他时间是看不到这种奇景的。
